XPE AND XPP INSULATION TUBES MANUFACTURING LINES

For the production of insulation pipes, UNION can offer customers different solutions. Single-screw extruders (generally for small pipes), co-rotating twin-screw extruders with a diameter of 90-180 mm or Tandem systems. Pipes made of polyethylene foam and polypropylene are mainly used for thermal insulation of piping systems that carry liquid or chilled or hot gases.
Extrusion lines can be equipped with a second extruder that applies a rigid layer to close the pores of the tubes over the pipe to be insulated. There is also the possibility that when the diameter is small to extrude the expanded tube material directly around the copper pipe that is to be insulated. Multiple die heads bring the advantage of greatly increasing the throughput of the extrusion line.
